Molly Sellors is a Glasgow-based freelance oboist working across modern oboe, historical oboe, and early wind instruments. Her practice spans site-specific, cross-genre, and interdisciplinary performance, alongside orchestral, chamber, and early music work.
She trained at The Purcell School and the Royal College of Music Junior Department with James Turnbull, supported by the Wolfson Foundation, before completing a Bachelor’s degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland as an ABRSM Scholar, graduating in 2025. At RCS she studied with Peter Dykes, Amy Turner, and Henry Clay, alongside historical oboe study with Alexandra Bellamy and an exchange at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague with Frank de Bruine.
She works across a wide range of performance environments, from major international venues such as the Lincoln Centre to unconventional and site-responsive contexts including IKEA, pub car parks at 7am, and other non-traditional performance spaces. Molly performs with Paraorchestra, including appearances at the BBC Proms, and is a member of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment through the Ann and Peter Law Experience Scheme (2026–27). During her studies, she also undertook side-by-side projects with the Orchestra of the 18th Century and the Suffolk Villages Festival Wind Soloists.
She also plays recorder and a range of early instruments, including shawm and crumhorn, and performs with The Amalia Collective, a group dedicated to bringing early music to rural and remote communities.
