Molly Sellors is an educator committed to making music accessible, welcoming and enjoyable. As a disabled and neurodivergent musician, she recognises that everyone learns differently and adapts her approach to each person’s interests, needs and ways of communicating.
Her education work includes The Way We Are with Sir James MacMillan and Matilda Brown for The Cumnock Tryst, supporting workshops at the Supported Learning Centre at Robert Burns Academy. She has also worked as a freelance musician on the Royal Scottish National Orchestra’s Gie Us a Toot! sessions, introducing participants to the oboe, and was a trainee at Soundplay Projects, supporting inclusive music-making and sensory play with disabled children and young people. She has also delivered a talk on music leadership for MEPG Scotland, exploring how young people aged 16–18 can develop as leaders in music.
Molly offers private lessons in modern and baroque oboe. Her teaching combines musical and technical development with a flexible, collaborative approach, working with each student to find ways of learning that suit them. She welcomes enquiries from prospective students and is happy to discuss access requirements.
